For auction is a very old and rare airline timetable from Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA). It is dated June 1, 1948. TCA was the flag carrier of Canada, with operations beginning in 1937. Its routes were not only domestic in Canada but also extended to the United States, Central America, and Europe. It was officially renamed Air Canada in 1965 and flies today under that name. The timetable lists all TCA flights. Listings are by flight number, with arrival/departure times for cities served. TCA was introducing its new "North Star" turboprop airplane with Rolls Royce engines; the brochure includes a diagram of this plane and some specifications. It includes sample fares, ticket office locations, and some great period airline advertising. There is a map showing TCA international routes.
